This presentation captures the diversity of the NSW steam scene from 1997 to the eve of the 150th anniversary of NSW Railways. It focuses on the unusual and out of the ordinary in recent steam preservation. Instead of just covering the famous engines and big tours, we see the little engines and unusual workings.

It includes the familiar 38s in the company of 46 class electrics, spectacular parallel runs and various multiple combinations of the best in preserved NSW steam. An additional treat is rare footage of the early runs of restored engines 3830, 2605 and 3526.

This recording is a must for anyone seeking to complete their collection of the story of preserved steam in NSW. It is also a suitable prologue to future releases relating to the numerous 150th anniversary events.

Duration 75 minutes. Filmed in Hi-Fi Digital. PAL
