THE DETAILS:
Following on from the 75th Anniversary of electrification celebrations, the Society is chartering the Heritage power-door W Set for this tour of the Sydney Suburban network with a return visit to the Airport Line as part of the itinerary.
The tour starts at Strathfield at 10.03am, picking up at Central at 10.18am. The tour will then proceed around the City Circle (stopping all stations) to the Airport Line (with photostops at Domestic & International Terminals), Campbelltown via Holsworthy, Blacktown via the Y-link (for a 1 hour lunch break), Rhodes via Homebush Loop thence back via the City to Waverton and a rare visit to Lavender Bay. Return to Central will be at at 4.15pm, thence Strathfield at 4:26pm where the tour will conclude.
Please note that due to CityRail requirements patrons will not be allowed to leave the train at Rhodes or Lavender Bay.
